Earn Your Certificate as a Worksite Wellness Specialist or Program Manager

Supported by current research and best practices, NWI’s multi-level Worksite Wellness Certificate Program is recognized as a premier training program for worksite wellness, human resources, benefits, and interdisciplinary professionals who are working to ensure a well workforce. Participants in the NWI Worksite Wellness certificate program gain the knowledge, skills, and tools to assist them in creating and sustaining a culture of wellness within an organization.

Each program will be offered through the NWI Online Learning Portal as a six-week training (includes exam). Offering the same high-quality content as the face-to-face trainings, the online certificate programs allow participants the flexibility of computer-based training with the opportunity to connect virtually with other participants. Participants may view content at their own pace but must complete exercises and respond to discussion board posts each week. The online exam opens in the fifth week and must be completed by the program end date. Online course registration includes digital access to program slides and resources and printable exercise worksheets, with the opportunity to purchase a full-color, spiralbound coursebook of program slides and resources.

To earn a Certificate as a Worksite Wellness Specialist or Program Manager, participants must successfully complete all elements of the online training (including weekly posts to the discussion board) and pass an online exam.

Which level is right for you?

The Worksite Wellness Specialist level is the first step in NWI's Worksite Wellness Certificate program and enrollment is open to all individuals who want to gain insights into worksite wellness and work toward developing sustainable change within an organization. The training aims to assist participants in building the business case for wellness, creating and sustaining a culture of wellness, and driving and measuring employee engagement. Learn more about the CWWS course content.

The Worksite Wellness Program Manager level is geared toward professionals who are currently in a worksite wellness manager/supervisor role or who are working toward a manager/supervisor role. The comprehensive curriculum provides participants with knowledge and skills for effective leadership and for planning, designing, implementing, and measuring strategies that lead to well employees and a culture of wellness. Learn more about the CWWPM course content.

To be eligible for the Program Manager level, participants must have completed the Specialist level or have managed a corporate wellness program at least three of the past four years.
